Well, hey there sugar. Come on in, kick off your shoes, and letโs have us a little heart-to-heart over a warm cup of something comforting. You ever feel like the worldโs just movinโ too fast? Like you blink and itโs already Christmas again, the dishes are never-ending, and your phoneโs chirpinโ before your feet even hit the floor? Mercy, Iโve been there.
Thank you for reading this post, don’t forget to subscribe! But hereโs what Iโve learned: you donโt have to keep up with the chaos. You can choose a slower life. You can wake up and put your hands in the dirt instead of scrolling. You can spend a morning canning peaches or watering tomatoes instead of hustlinโ for someone elseโs dream. Slower living isnโt lazyโitโs sacred. Itโs choosing to savor the good stuff, to be present, to breathe deep and actually taste the sunshine in your tea.
Now donโt get me wrongโit takes grit to go against the grain. Folks might not understand why youโd rather make your own bread than buy it or why youโre sittinโ in your garden talkinโ to your chickens like theyโre your coworkers (and honestly, they kind of are). But when you start living slow, you start living true. And darlinโ, there ainโt nothinโ more rebellious or beautiful than that.
So hereโs your reminder, from my porch to yours: itโs okay to unplug, to rest, to tend to the simple and sacred. Let the world spin fast if it wants toโyou just keep strollinโ at your own holy pace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
โTo every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.โ
This verse reminds us that we donโt have to rushโweโre allowed to live in rhythm with the seasons God has set, not the speed of the world around us.
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
โBe still, and know that I am God.โ
A gentle nudge to slow down, be present, and trust that we donโt have to do all the things, all the time. Stillness is holy.
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
โCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you restโฆ For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.โ
For every weary heart feeling stretched too thin, this is Jesusโ personal invitation to embrace rest, simplicity, and peace.
