Like you blink and it’s already Christmas again, the dishes are never-ending, and your phone’s chirpin’ before your feet even hit the floor? Mercy, I’ve been there.

But here’s what I’ve learned: you don’t have to keep up with the chaos. You can choose a slower life. You can wake up and put your hands in the dirt instead of scrolling. You can spend a morning canning peaches or watering tomatoes instead of hustlin’ for someone else’s dream. Slower living isn’t lazy—it’s sacred. It’s choosing to savor the good stuff, to be present, to breathe deep and actually taste the sunshine in your tea.

Now don’t get me wrong—it takes grit to go against the grain. Folks might not understand why you’d rather make your own bread than buy it or why you’re sittin’ in your garden talkin’ to your chickens like they’re your coworkers (and honestly, they kind of are). But when you start living slow, you start living true. And darlin’, there ain’t nothin’ more rebellious or beautiful than that.

So here’s your reminder, from my porch to yours: it’s okay to unplug, to rest, to tend to the simple and sacred. Let the world spin fast if it wants to—you just keep strollin’ at your own holy pace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

This verse reminds us that we don’t have to rush—we’re allowed to live in rhythm with the seasons God has set, not the speed of the world around us.

Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
“Be still, and know that I am God.”

A gentle nudge to slow down, be present, and trust that we don’t have to do all the things, all the time. Stillness is holy.

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest… For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

For every weary heart feeling stretched too thin, this is Jesus’ personal invitation to embrace rest, simplicity, and peace.

The Problem: Our Sin Separates Us from God All people have sinned, and sin causes spiritual death—separation from God. The Solution: Jesus Paid the Price for Our Sin Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died in our place. He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death. Our Response: Receive Jesus by Faith We are saved by grace through faith, not by our works. We must personally receive Christ into our hearts. If you’ve never accepted Jesus as your Savior, you can do it right now. A simple prayer from the heart might sound like this: “Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I trust You as my Savior and invite You into my heart and life. Help me to turn from my sin and follow You. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
